Milesh Patel, MD
Milesh Patel is a biotechnology investor at Commodore Capital. Prior to joining Commodore, Milesh was a practicing physician in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He previously consulted for a top-five pharmaceutical company by revenue, helping them revise their technology acquisition strategy. Prior to that, Milesh was a researcher at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, where he published research in several high impact journals including Nature Methods.
Milesh earned his MD from New York University School of Medicine, where he was a Vilcek Scholar, awarded to the top two students in the class. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Biochemistry from Columbia University. At Columbia, he was awarded the Rabi Scholarship for his work as a young scientist and graduated with Honors in Biology.
Milesh grew up in New Jersey and enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants in the city.
